The Technical Skinny:

Buttery soft, pliable goatskin leather glove with molded plastic knuckle protection, a soft pink fleece lining, and waterproof membrane.  No lengthy break-in needed for these gloves; they are ready to wear.  The gauntlet is longer than the short sports, covering approximately 3 inches of wrist with a Velcro tab closure to secure a tight or looser fit over your jacket.

Fit:

True to size, based on my hand measurements and the sizing chart on their website.  There is a bit more room in finger width, so if you typically shy away from women’s gloves due to finger shape, give this pair a try.

Finish:

Sleek design, matching stitching, subtle pink fleece lining that doesn’t detract visually from the overall aesthetic if you are not a fan, elastic at the back of the palm and wrist.

My $0.02:

I run typically cold.  I could go as low as 40° with a mid-weight, unlined leather glove with the stock BMW heated grips on the higher setting.  With the Queens, I can ride comfortably in 40° to 60° weather without heated grips for any duration.  I pack these in the tank bag for a quick change out from the Short Sports for rides up Angeles Crest to Newcomb’s Ranch, where despite weather being a sunny 75° at starting elevation it can get down to 20° at altitude.  The grip is solid and the glove is protective in my opinion and limited crashing experience.

I didn’t test the glove in rainy weather conditions due to Southern California’s drought, but in order to give you a well-informed review, for good measure my rain simulator was my showerhead on the rain setting.  For five minutes, I exposed both sides of the Queen’s to constant rain shower conditions.  Despite the leather’s wet look in appearance, my hand was completely dry.  Overall, a comfortable, protective, waterproof leather glove to have for the cold/wet weather conditions –and an excellent stowaway option for those unpredictable moments.
